Since November is National Peanut Butter Lover’s month, I’ve got a ton of delicious recipes for you. Each one featuring peanut butter of course. I absolutely LOVE peanut butter, especially homemade. It truly makes almost anything better. I mean, who doesn’t love peanut butter desserts, peanut butter oats, peanut butter sauces, stir fry’s, peanut butter ALL THE THINGS?? Well, I’ve got great news! I’ve teamed up with some amazing food bloggers, and each of us have created our very own peanut butter recipe. I’ve got quite the variety of options for you, including my brand new PEANUT BUTTER HUMMUS!

Yes, I said Peanut Butter Hummus!!

Traditional hummus uses tahini, aka sesame butter, so why not sub for peanut butter? Well, it never occurred to me before to try this. But wow am I glad I finally did! I think this is my favourite hummus EVER. I know, bold statement, but it’s true. Not only do I sub tahini for peanut butter in this AMAZING hummus. But I also use some other Thai inspired ingredients to give this a truly unique and delicious flavour. Think of this as a cross between your favourite Thai peanut sauce, and the best hummus ever.

Oh, and it gets even better. Did I mention that this recipe takes a literal 5 minutes to make??? Yup! Just toss all the ingredients into your food processor and process until smooth and creamy. Now serve with your favourite veggies, crackers, or just grab a spoon! Yes, it’s that good.

Peanut Butter Hummus with veggie sticks

Peanut Butter Hummus

This peanut butter hummus is loaded with protein and delicious Thai inspired flavours. Give this a try with your next veggie & cracker tray.

Ingredients

  • 1 can chickpeas drained & rinsed
  • 1/4 cup natural peanut butter
  • 1/2 freshly squeezed lime
  • 3 tbsp tamari
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp ground ginger
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper

Instructions

  • Add all the ingredients to a food processor and process until smooth and combined.
  • Optional: Serve sprinkled with an extra sprinkle of cayenne pepper if desired.
