    About Me – This Healthy Kitchen

    Hello & Ciao,

    I’m Rosa, the recipe developer, photographer, and creator of This Healthy Kitchen. I’m so excited to have you join me here! I’m an avid home cook who believes that food is medicine.

    My goal is to inspire and empower you to make healthier food choices by providing delicious, easy-to-follow plant-based recipes.

    Together with my awesome web developer, Nick (aka Mr. Healthy Kitchen), we bring you delicious, approachable recipes, with busy families in mind.

    All our recipes are made using wholesome ingredients, and we aim to keep them under 400 calories per serving, to aid in healthy weight loss. Many of which happen to be gluten-free and/or oil-free, too.

    There’s no crash dieting here, just nutrient-dense, delicious meals, with the occasional cheat days included. 😉

    I was born in Southern Ontario, Canada but raised by Italian-born parents. As such, I’ve been exposed to home cooking, and Italian cuisine since childhood, which you’ll find has inspired many of my recipes.

    My mom can turn ANY ingredient into a delicious home-cooked meal, and I like to think she’s passed that trait on to me. 🙂 

    It’s always been my pleasure to cook for others and nothing makes me happier than having someone enjoy my cooking.

    So whether you’re vegan or simply looking to incorporate more plant-based meals into your diet, I’m here to help you on your journey toward optimal health and wellness.

    Nutritious, low-calorie recipes with detailed step-by-step instructions to help you make your recipe perfectly, the first time.

    With step-by-step photos, you can feel confident in your kitchen and recreate all of the delicious recipes on this site.

    Many of the recipes here are perfect for the entire family, with picky eaters in mind. I’m always exploring new ways to make family meal times fun and exciting.
