So, I love sauces and dressings, as I’m sure most people do. But I just can’t stand behind many of the store bought options. I often find that store bought versions have a ton of artificial ingredients, flavours and colours. Not to mention, a ton of ingredients that the average person couldn’t even pronounce! Oh, and let’s not forget, they usually contain more fat and calories than a homemade version. So anyhow, keeping all this in mind, I decided to try my hand at a lighter version of traditional tahini.

Here I’m using a lot less oil, and replacing it with some water instead. But don’t worry! This lightened version still delivers great flavour and creaminess! Because I’m using water to replace some of the oil, this sauce is best used right away. If making ahead, just give it a good stir to mix any water that may separate while sitting.
