Candied Slivered Almonds - Refined Sugar Free

Delicious, sweet and crunchy, candied slivered almonds with zero refined sugar. The perfect topping for your salads or desserts.

  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
  • Melt the coconut oil in a non stick skillet over medium heat, and then add the sugar, and stir to combine.
  • Next, add the slivered almonds to the skillet, stirring to get them evenly coated. Then cook for about 4 minutes, stirring very often to avoid burning, until slightly browned.
  • Spread the candied slivered almonds onto your prepared baking sheet into a single layer to allow them to cool completely.
  • Once cooled, use them to top your salads, or desserts, and store any remaining almonds in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
