Sauté the onions  and carrots.

Add all the ingredients except broccoli & milk.

When potatoes are soft, add the broccoli.

Simmer 5 more minutes.

Scoop out a few cups of veggies.

Puree the rest.

Return the veggies to the pot & add the milk.
